This 20 story Condominium under construction in Bonita Springs, Florida was the first of its kind to use SS rebar in each balcony. Gerdau-Ameristeel of Plant City, FL suggested to the developer that using approximately 1000# of SS gr. 2205 reinforcing in each floor would insure the integrity of the balconies against salt water corrosion while not significantly driving up the cost of the project.
